2014 A Night in the Park
Mountain Area Land Trust (MALT) celebrates 22 years of land conservation at their annual “A Night in the Park” fundraiser taking place on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Alderfer/Three Sisters Park in Evergreen from 6pm to 10pm. Proceeds from this event benefit land conservation.
Enjoy an evening under the tent at Alderfer/Three Sisters Park that includes a gourmet dinner, wine, beer, margaritas, music by Dakota Blonde and incredible live and silent auction items. Honorary Chairs for this event are Deborah Deeg and Fred Van Dusen. MALT will also honor Greg Penkowsky as the 2014 Bud Simon Preservationist of the Year and Long Meadow Ranch & the Ostertag Family as the 2014 Land Stewards of the Year.

The ten unique films included in this year’s ninth annual Backcountry Film Festival will inspire you to embrace winter! The films come from renowned filmmakers who search backcountry corners across the globe to submit their best work and from grassroots filmmakers who take a video camera out on their weekend excursions and submit their best films. Feature film Valhalla (rated PG-13), winner of the 2013 “Best of Festival”, is the tale of one man’s search to rediscover the freedom of his youth.
